Salary: Base circa £130-140,000 + bonus and benefits
Location: South Yorkshire
Contract: Permanent or fixed-term appointments considered by my client

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead operational performance, service delivery and commercial improvement within a major UK Rail organisation.

The Role

  • Lead operational teams, driving safety, reliability and efficiency.

  • Improve service delivery, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.

  • Develop people, strengthen stakeholder relationships and deliver continuous improvement.

  • Shape operational strategy and lead change across the business.

About You

You will have extensive rail industry experience, ideally within train or freight operations, alongside:

  • Proven senior operational leadership experience.

  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.

  • Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • A track record of delivering operational improvements.

Relevant experience from other areas of the rail industry will also be considered.
